Schedule for the 2009/2010 OPEN POOL SESSIONS

Pool Session Prices: $15 per session/individual or $25 per session/family AND one time ACA membership purchase

Everyone attending a BSBS sponsored pool session WILL be required to purchase an ACA membership through BSBS, unless the individual can provide their specific ACA member card and number. Unfortunately we are required to do this, no exceptions, to maintain our insurance with ACA and the Walter Schroeder Aquatic Center. ACA did offer us reduced rates and two options.
ACA Option 1
Yearly Membership - $30 individual ($40 for family)
ACA Option 2
Introductory Membership - $15 individual; Six months of membership to ACA

Open Pool Dates for 2009/2010 are as follows:

• November 29th, 2:30 - 5:30 PM
• December 6th, 2:30 - 5:30 PM
• January 10th, 2:30 - 5:30 PM
• January 24th, 2:30 - 5:30 PM
• January 31st, 2:30 - 5:30 PM
• February 14th, 2:30 - 5:30 PM
• February 21st, 2:30 - 5:30 PM
• February 28th, 2:30 - 5:30 PM
• March 14th, 2:30 - 5:30 PM

The last half hour we will play kayak polo. All are welcome.

Pool session rules:

The club’s ability to rent pool space depends on our members’ ability to treat pools respectfully and responsibly. This means:

• All ACA Safety Guidelines must be met and are paraphrased below. They can be found in their legal form by clicking here.
• Waiver of Release and Liability must be read and signed before participating.
• ACA Membership is required. See a club officer to become an ACA member quickly and painlessly.
• Report any property damage immediately to a club officer.
• Report any injuries immediately to a club officer.
• Wear a lifejacket/PFD.
• Persons under the influence will be asked to leave.
• Float Bags must be in the boat and inflated.
• All YMCA Rules must be followed:
  
  • Anyone can participate in pool sessions. Parental permission is required for anyone under 18 years old.
  • Time limits for Pool and Locker facilities must be respected and adhered to.
  • Wash your boat (inside and out) before attending a pool session.
  • Remove your shoes before walking on the pool deck.
  • Do not "seal" launch off of the pool edges (unless a special launch mat has been designated by the BSBS pool committee).
  • Be courteous to your fellow paddlers, club officers, and host facility staff. Do not engage in dangerous activity.
  • Obey any other rules established by the host pool facility.
• Do not contact the host facility with questions, concerns or complaints. Pool sessions are run solely by BSBS. Direct all concerns to a BSBS club officer.

Pool session priveledges will be suspended for violation of any of these rules!!!
